Rising US Talent Thomas Day Prepares New EP ‘kids’, Drops Breezy Mid-tempo Hit ‘sore throat’

Fast rising singer-songwriter Thomas Day reveals details of his upcoming EP kids, as well as dropping brand new track sore throat. The Nashville-based musician works with producer Nate Miles on the track, who co-writes with Thomas.

Thomas shares: “This is not a breakup song. It’s more like watching your favorite person fade into someone you don’t recognize. That feeling sat heavy with me while writing it alone on a plane somewhere over Arizona. Hope it finds you if you’ve ever been there too. Grateful 4 my boy Antony Muse for evolving this world with me.”

Capturing the gentle but nonetheless sad fading away of a relationship, sore throat sees Thomas’s gentle vocal deliver pop-hooks atop breezy mid-tempo production. The track will be accompanied by previous release she got a thing about her and brand new tracks pollen, tethered and landlocked when the hotly-anticipated EP arrives on October 9th via Sony Music Entertainment.

The EP is his first extended project in a year since the 2024 EP Angel Boy featuring the hit Paper Cup. Thomas released his debut album Love Me For Another Day back in 2023 after a string of impressive singles.
