We have featured the music of rising pop talent Stewart Taylor numerous times on the site over the years, and were truly excited to hear his latest pop delight Emilio. The handsome US star delivers an emotional, up-tempo track that showcases big vocals, slick production and multi-lingual glamour.
Capturing a fleeting love affair limited by borders, Stewart co-writes with a strong team including Ceranda Silva, David Veslocki and Stephen Daniel Beerkens. Like Stewart’s previous releases that we have highlighted, this soars with authentic emotion and powerful vocals, cementing him as a musical force to be reckoned with.
Stewart shares: “EMILIO is about falling for someone you cannot have… your amor prohibido. I have been listening to Latin artists and speaking Spanish since I was 11, so it felt natural to write a song in Spanglish when I fell for a guapo Latino. I actually wrote and sang the chorus to Emilio as we were talking face to face. Even though I did not get the guy, I got a beautiful song out of it, and it is out today.”
The West Hollywood-based star thanks his collaborators, noting: “Thank you to David Veslocki and Ceranda Silva for finishing this song with me, and much love to Stephen Daniel Beerkens for producing the record. Special thanks also to Madsonit for recording my vocals and being patient through the many versions until we got it right. Y muchas gracias to Emilio – look what you inspired, Papi.”
Stewart has become a favourite of the site thanks to tracks including Nightmares, Favourite Ex and Maybe We Shouldn’t Talk. Connect with him here.
