Rising French singer-songwriter Victorien delivers his new single Mieux comme ça, an introspective piece about overcoming the disappointment of unfulfilled potential and dreams. The track, produced by Noé Trystram and Achile, was penned by Achile, Armand Auclair, Noé Trystram, and Victorien Breux, and it asserts Victorien as a star with a distinctive pop voice and refreshing musical sincerity as he emerges as one of French pop’s most exciting new faces.
Victorien shares: “Dreams we will always have! Just because some have never seen the day doesn’t mean it’s a failure! Let’s look at what we have done, not what we could have done, maybe we are really ‘Better like this.'” He adds that this will be his last single, suggesting fans will not have too long to wait for a new album from the French talent.
After beginning to learn his craft during lockdown, Victorien soon caught online attention via his impressive cover versions before launching a career with original music, abandoning an early career in oyster farming—a decent trade-off, we would say. He released his debut EP, Me voilà, in 2024 and has since followed the set with a number of impressive original cuts.
