Pussycat Dolls still have us in a chokehold with their 2019 comeback anthem React, and seven years later now bless us with new track Club Song. The number is the first from the group as a trio with members Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Roberts now flying the flag for the group. They will embark on a new tour, PCD Forever, which will see them play 53 dates in the UK, US and Europe from June.
Club Song is produced by Mike Sabbath (Raye, Jade) and written by Nicole Scherzinger with Sabbath, Caroline Ailin (Dua Lipa) and Solly (Teddy Swims). The track packs the sultry energy of PCD anthems such as Buttons and Jai Ho. With addictive electronic-pop production, the band purr: “Give the girl her girls, give the girl the floor / Give the girl a club song, what she’s dying for / Give the girl some room to put on a show / Give the girl a club song and look at her go.”
In a true, Pussycat Doll extravaganza, also announced is the 20th anniversary release of the band’s 2005 debut album, PCD, and its 2008 follow-up, Doll Domination. The reissues come in physical formats including CD and vinyl.
We have high hopes that Club Song will be part of a new album or EP from the ladies.
