We were delighted with Pussycat Dolls icon Carmit Bachar’s self-titled EP, which arrived in May and has given us no end of replay value. Now the star returns with CARMIT: Part II, eight tracks of sure-fire pop excellence.
Carmit unleashes further original material on the release, which combines previously unheard tracks with fresh remixes. The star shares: ‘Part I’ was all about daylight and nostalgia with my original 2000s solo tracks. But for ‘Part II’, we’re bringing the night, because after dark is the perfect time to play some dope remixes! says Carmit. Of course, my foxes know me… I couldn’t contain myself. I’m ALSO dropping brand-new music!
Carmit has truly impressive pop credentials, beginning her career at Hamilton Academy of Music in LA before enjoying success as a rhythmic gymnast. This soon led to work as a dancer and performer with legends including Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson and Ricky Martin. She would go on to be one of the founding members of The Pussycat Dolls, anchoring them from their 1995 Hollywood burlesque roots to their 2005 multi-platinum debut album PCD, where she provided distinct lead and background vocals.
