Olly Murs delivers his first music since 2022 album Marry Me, with brand new single Save Me, a track that sees him collaborate with Kylie Minogue favourite, producer Sky Adams. Released through BMG, Olly co-writes the ska-flavoured bop with Ed Drewett, James New and Sky Adams.
The Heart Skips a Beat star shares: “It’s a song about a guy on a night out after having a row with his missus. And it goes horribly wrong!” Discussing the writing sessions, he noted: “It took me back to the Heart Skips A Beat, Thinking of Me and Please Don’t Let Me Go from 2010 in my early career days too – this is old Olly vibes but the 2.0 version.”
Save Me harks back to the storytelling pop sounds of Olly’s debut album, capturing his cheeky persona with brassy production, bouncing pop melodies, and addictive pop hooks. The star shared on Instagram: “I mean we’ve all had that argument with ya partner, decided to go out on a mad one and then realise you need to come home and say Sorrehhhh”
The single is expected to be the first taste of Olly’s upcoming eighth studio album, due in Q4. Whilst no release date has been confirmed, a pre-order for the CD has appeared on the star’s official site.
