Norwegian pop sensation Dagny returns with a euphoric new single, Dancefloor Erotica, an adrenaline shot of scandipop euphoria that proves she is back with a bang.
Dagny shares: “Forget about falling in love and heartbreak; my new era is all about self-expression, movement and desire. The dancefloor does not refer to a physical place – it’s a mindset. It’s freedom. It’s a space where everyone can do their thing. This is the mantra: everyone’s a dancer.“
The sessions for Dagny’s new music were spurred on by a period of feeling detached from the songs she was performing: “They felt like somebody else’s melodies and somebody else’s words. They’re songs that I will always love, but I knew right then that I needed something new – something that gave a renewed sense of purpose, a sense of evolution – something I could move to in a new way.“
‘Dancefloor Erotica’ is produced by Matias Tellez and co-written with Nick Hahn, serving as the first taste of an upcoming new project from the Norwegian star – her first extended release since the 2024 mini-album ‘ELLE’. The new material, like ‘Dancefloor Erotica’, is expected to be self-directed, introducing a more physical, direct and dance-driven sound.
