Norwegian drag star Skrellex has become one of our favourite Eurovision national final participants thanks to her appearances at Norway’s Melodi Grand Prix. The performer has now released her new track, Freedom, an inspiring dance anthem arriving during Pride Month.
The Into the Wild singer shares: “The song is about something basic we all want and deserve: freedom. The freedom to be yourself, to live without fear, and to experience peace and security in your own country. No one should have to face oppression, war or hate because of their gender, nationality, sexual orientation or skin colour.”
All proceeds from the track will go directly to Save the Children to support children in Gaza.
Skrellex (Kai Thomas Ryen Larsen) worked with Michael James Down, Will Taylor, Primoz Poglajen, Jonas Kristensen and Sigmund Trondheim on the song. The release follows her Melodi Grand Prix 2026 entry, Into the Wild. Skrellex also competed in the competition in 2023 with Love Again.
