Nicolò Filippucci Steals the Show at Sanremo 2026 with ‘Laguna’

Like many across Europe, we have been glued to Italy’s Sanremo Music Festival this week, the prestigious music event now in its seventy-sixth edition, showcasing a mix of emerging Italian artists and established legends of the industry. The third night of the contest saw newcomers Nicolò Filippucci and Angelica Bove open the show, with Nicolò truly stealing the spotlight with his track Laguna.

Nicolò first gained fame as part of the Italian television series Amici di Maria De Filippi, before going on to release his debut EP, Un’ora di follia, in May 2025. He was invited to take part in Sanremo in the Newcomers section, where he delivered the beautiful ballad Laguna. The track was co-written by Nicolò alongside Gianmarco Grande, Leonardo Lamacchia and Riccardo Schiara, with production by GRND.

Expect to see Nicolò at future editions of Sanremo, and on Saturday as the star has advanced to weekend’s final.
