Nico Santos is on to another pop winner with his latest single Why Don’t You Stay. The German pop star collaborates with producer Pascal Reinhardt, who also co-writes, on this big sing-along summer pop anthem.
Why Don’t You Stay sees Nico sing, ‘Why don’t you stay / ’Cause since you walked away / I’m riding through a ghost town / In the Chevrolet…’, atop production that fuses electric guitar, powerful percussion and a backing choir, which elevates the song’s sing-along qualities. The track sees Nico change pace from previous singles Optimist and Letting Go, tapping into a more upbeat sound.
Nico co-writes with Pascal and LAVINIA on the single, which is his third release of 2026. Nico is set to release his new studio album SANTOS in 2026, as well as heading out on an arena tour across Central Europe in October and November – dates below.
