Nico Santos has been delivering no shortage of great pop tracks in his recent singles such as optimist, letting go, human being, Ray of Light and more. Now he finds a home for these on his upcoming studio album POV – a double LP split into two halves – Personal and Optimist. Scheduled for release on 30 October, the album will feature 18 tracks, serving as two nine-track projects.
Nico also releases two new tracks from the project, CLASSIC and Learn to Love Again. Nico writes CLASSIC with Sebastian Arman and Joacim Persson, producing alongside Decco. The track finds a home on the Optimist side of the album, whilst Learn to Love Again sits on the Personal side, a stripped-back number that allows Nico’s emotive vocals to shine. Nico produces the track and co-writes with Max Wolfgang.
Release notes share: Nico Santos’ fourth album is a double album entitled POV, showcasing Nico’s life from very different perspectives: Part 1 – Personal – tells Nico’s story in a more intimate way than ever before, sharing deeply personal and autobiographical tales. Part 2 – Optimist – features songs full of energy, hope, and the feeling that life goes on and that love can be felt. Together, both sides comprise 18 tracks, including Ray of Light, Optimist, Why Don’t You Stay, All Time High, and Body.
POV sounds like one of Nico’s most ambitious projects to date, and we can’t wait to hear how the singles fit into the project. Personal is set to feature optimist, home pt. 2, human being and letting go – as well as five new tracks. Optimist is set to feature Why Don’t You Stay, Ray of Light, All Time High and Body alongside five new tracks.
