Armand ‘Mondo’ Duplantis drops Gold, the official anthem for the World Athletics Ultimate Championship. Mondo accompanies the track with an official video filmed in Budapest, where the championship will take place this September.
Mondo shares: “I’m always looking to push the boundaries in everything I do, whether that’s on the pole vault runway or in the recording studio. Gold is very personal to me. It’s about community and how I represent something a lot bigger than myself when I compete – my family, my friends and my Swedish fans. That feeling is at the heart of this song.”
Gold was written by Mondo, Carl Silvergran and Oscar Chase, who also produced the song, and follows Mondo’s previous singles Feelin’ Myself, Location and Midsummer. Like all of Mondo’s musical releases, the track is an undeniably cool pop anthem and is set to gain further energy and momentum as part of the championship. It will be heard both in the arena and during international television broadcasts.
