MKY Releases Smooth Romantic Pop Single 'Take Our Time'

East Los Angeles artist MKY (Mikey Jimenez) continues to showcase his star appeal with a brand-new original track, Take Our Time. The former 4th Ave star delivers the English-language pop number with a smooth romantic cool, whilst also releasing the track to mark his twenty-sixth birthday.

Speaking on the release, MKY said he’s grateful for where the journey has taken him so far: He shared, “I can’t thank God enough for all that he has blessed me with, a healthy body, a family who loves me, friends who I can count on, and a team who believes in me and pushes me to be the best version of myself every day. I’m thankful for all my supporters that have been on this journey with me – y’all always show up for me with tons of love and support💫 The best gift I could’ve asked for was releasing a song and music video on my special day, ‘Take Our Time’, out tonight.”

MKY sings, “I’ll put down my guard / Girl, let go of yours / Keys to your heart / Open up your doors / Just for the evening…” against production from MKY himself. The lyrics are penned by Deon Thomas Howell, WHYJAYARE, and MKY, capturing a sultry romantic tone.

Sticking with a romantic flavour, MKY’s previous release was Selena cover Dreaming of You, which was a hit with fans of the Queen of Tejano Music and also fans of MKY, the number showcasing his versatility and skill at making a classic pop track feel like both a fitting tribute and his own.
