We recently featured rising singer-songwriter Mitch Sanders’ powerfully cinematic pop number Heaven Is Ours, a number which showcased an undeniable emerging talent. Mitch has also released equally impressive tracks Emotion Kicks and Moth, now drops Ellen, the latest taste of his upcoming EP Saloon.
Delivering a woozy, absorbing vocal Mitch draws us into the atmospheric dreamy charm of Ellen, which shines in its guitar-driven production from Spencer Tobias-Williams and James Trevascus. Mitch and co-writer Gabe Coulter deliver a vulnerable sentiment to the number which explores the trepidatious start to a new relationship.
Mitch expands on the message of the track: “Ellen is about feeling isolated in the new beginnings of a relationship, feeling out of place in unknown territories, but safe in the beauty and company of someone new. It’s masked in masculinity and trying to be a better person for someone else.”
Mitch has emerged through the Bristol music scene after an initial career working as a bricklayer. The rising star has built up an impressive following through word of mouth gigs and a string of high quality music releases.
