Miley Preps New Album ‘Bass Persuades’ and Releases Title Track

We love a quick turnaround from an album announcement to its actual release – no six-month teasing for Miley, who drops the Cyrus from her name as she reveals new Atlantic Records album Bass Persuades. Set for release on 18 September, Miley accompanies the announcement with the album’s title track, which also serves as the lead single.

The star shared on Instagram: Music takes hold of us. We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong. Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between. That’s what the title means to me.

The single Bass Persuades is written by Miley with Kid Harpoon, Michael Pollack and Gregory Aldae Hein. Miley, Kid Harpoon, Michael Pollack and Maxx Morando produce the number, drawing influences from Eighties British synthpop for its electronic soundscapes.
