Mika gave us the first taste of new English language music back in 2022 as Eurovision Song Contest host, with an electrifying interval routine which saw him perform his hits and new track Yo Yo. Now Mika is moving full steam ahead with a brand new English studio album expected next year. The Beirut born pop talent’s latest single Modern Times, a track which sees him co-produce with Nick Littlemore.
The star accompanied the release of the single with an intriguing caption: “Delving into a world of mythology, desire and dreams. A cathedral like cry, for faith and spirit, resisting the grind and weight of life and the passing of time.”
On his upcoming album, Mika shares: “The new album began by getting back to songwriting alone at the piano, with no filters and staying as true to myself as possible. The songs were recorded across various locations from Montreal, to the hills of a tiny village in Tuscany, and skyscrapers in Bangkok.”
The star noted on Instagram last week: “Two years in the making, 1 extraordinary journey! Finally, from the very room I began writing it from, I can announce that my new album is almost complete. Eclectic, eccentric, touching, sincere, unafraid, I love this album very much and cannot wait to start sharing the new music with you.”
