We have featured rising talent Mergui on the site a number of times, and his latest track, Alien, is worthy of another shout-out. The Israel-born, LA-based singer-songwriter is continuing to build his English-language profile with standout releases including Alien and Living Room.
Ahead of the release, the musician shared: “As a kid, the things I liked were different from everyone else. I left football to go dancing, and nobody really understood it. At the time, I thought it made me weird, but now I realise it’s what makes me special. For all my fellow 👽.”
Jonathan Mergui co-wrote the track with Jesse Shatkin, Blush and Dewain Whitmore Jr.
He has since released two EPs, Shadows of Blue and Nobody Really Knows. Mergui’s standout achievements include opening for Bruno Mars and Maroon 5 in front of audiences of more than 65,000 people.
