Swedish singer-songwriter and producer extraordinaire Melanie Wehbe takes on the honour of recording this year’s official Stockholm Pride anthem, releasing the powerhouse pop gem Alive this weekend.
Melanie shares: “I hope this song becomes a light in the darkness and reminds us that we’re strongest when we dare to live openly, love freely and stand together. Happy Pride, this one’s for all of us.” She continues: “Thank you to everyone who helped me bring this to life. You know who you are, and I’m forever grateful.”
Alive was written by Melanie Wehbe, Bobby Ljunggren, Thomas G:son and Peter Boström, with production from Ljunggren, G:son and Boström. Mixing and mastering comes courtesy of Joy Deb.
Melanie has treated fans to countless musical gems, including Lonely Heart, her Bloom EP, and her Melodifestivalen entry For the Show. She has also been involved in numerous Eurovision, Melodifestivalen and other national final entries, as well as hits recorded by The Mamas, Sissal, SABA, Dolly Style, Patrik Jean, Lina Hedlund and Måns Zelmerlöw.
