Marcus & Martinus Deliver Non-Stop Hits on New Album 'The Room'

It was only last year that Norwegian pop legends Marcus & Martinus released their album Unforgettable containing their Eurovision hit of the same name and hits including Air and Follow Me. However, the duo return with the equally addictive new collection, The Room.

The album is another hit-filled collection from Marcus & Martinus, including recent singles including Endless Summer, Another Life (with VIZE), Wonder, The Room and festive track Christmas To Me. Excitingly for fans, the album contains six new tracks as well as these recent singles.

Marcus & Martinus share: “The album “The Room” started with the song “The Room” that we released last fall. It had a slightly darker energy than our previous songs and we got to show a more mature side of ourselves – something we’ve wanted to explore for a long time. The album has been in the making for a long time, with songs written in different periods. Some have been with us for years, while others came about very recently. It feels fantastic to finally be able to collect our favorite songs and share them with the world.”

The Room shines as a fantastic example of Marcus & Martinus’s skill as performers – packed with slick pop hooks, cutting edge production, and impressive vocal range from the performers. One of these new songs is Sugar Rush, the latest single from the duo.

Marcus and Martinus note: “Like “The Room”, “Sugar Rush” explores a darker energy than many of our previous releases, making it the perfect single to frame the album. “Sugar Rush” is a raw and playful song with attitude – it’s about that feeling when you get completely hooked on someone, like a real sugar rush. It’s a song we love, and we’re really looking forward to playing it live,”

Marcus and Martinus will be hitting the road in the UK and Europe with the album, starting next year. The Norwegian stars shared their excitement: “Our upcoming tour is not just a series of concerts – it is a room where nothing is judged, where you are allowed to be who you are. This is the beginning of something new, a kind of awakening. We are so excited to finally bring this energy out to Europe and share both new music and old favorites with the fans,“
