Madonna Covers Italian Music Icon Patty Pravo on 'La Bambola'

We have been craving a new album from two icons – US pop legend Madonna and iconic Italian diva Patty Pravo – with both expected to release new LPs in 2026. Whilst Pravo’s is expected in March around the time of Italian music competition San Remo, Madonna’s is rumoured to be later in the year. To whet our appetite Madonna takes on one of Pravo’s classics, La Bambola, as part of a collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana.

Madonna’s version is produced by Stuart Price who collaborated with Madonna on her seminal album Confessions on a Dance Floor, and is also tasked with producing the Sorry singer’s latest LP. Written originally by Bruno Zambrini, Franco Migliacci and Ruggero Cini, the Italian language number was originally released in 1968 and has become one of Pravo’s most successful and widely adored hits.
