Is this their best yet? We certainly think so. The Elevator Boys have long teased their new single Love Me Better and the track has well and truly been worth the wait. Jacob, Tim, Bene, Luis and Julien accompany the empowering new single with a desert set video which gives elevates the piece with a true cinematic quality.
The band have all spoken about how the song was a result of one of the rawest and most real studio sessions, with Tim telling Instagram followers: “We started making music not cause we had to, or anyone told us to. We started 3.5 years ago because we fell in love with it. To transport feelings and stories we lived, in songs. Some songs feel more personal to some of us, some less – obviously, we’re a 5 member band. And even with highs and lows we never wanted to stop.”
He continues: “Love Me Better is a song we made over a year ago in Sweden that hasn’t moved its spot as my favorite song we made to date. If we can manage to inspire even just some of you guys, as a reoccurring reminder to tell yourself that you can love yourself better (!!!) and this song brightens your mood, then my goal is already fulfilled. I can not wait to share it with you.”
The track has a Scandinavian pop excellence to it, with some of the best production and most impressive vocals the Boys have given us. It is unsurprising given that the group have worked with some of the best names in Swedish pop music – Sebastian Atas, Victor Carl Sjöström, Viktor Broberg, David Per Lindgren Zacharias, and Damon Elliott all co-write the number with The Elevator Boys – with each of the Swedes producing alongside Chris Tek O’Ryan.
