Loreen returns with new single Echoes – her first since her collaborative project SAGES with Icelandic artist Ólafur Arnalds. The Tattoo star co-writes and produces with Palestinian-Swedish hitmaker Rami Yacoub, crafting an absorbing and emotive piano-driven melody for Loreen to lay down an impressive vocal.
The Swedish Eurovision icon shares: “This song is about soul connection, the kind of bond that doesn’t need space or time to exist. We’re all echoes of each other in some way, and when we truly see one another, we collide, no matter how far apart we may be.”
“We’re just like echoes, we’re just like stars in the night / We could be light years apart, but we will always collide…” Loreen sings in lyrics which conjure up ethereal and naturalistic connotations, which allow her to craft musical landscapes like few other artists can. Pairing cinematic sounds with pop hooks and an expected emotional intensity, Echoes shines as another impressive release from Loreen.
As well as SAGES, Loreen has released a series of highly regarded pop singles in recent years including Is It Love, Forever, Gravity, and Warning Signs. It is hoped that these will form part of a new album for the star although this is yet to be confirmed.

The emotion in Echoes is so raw and real, and I love the cinematic feel of the song. Loreen never misses.
