Linda Perry continues the journey to her new solo album Let It Die Here with the raw, Americana inspired title track. The number is written and produced by Linda, and follows the release of Beautiful, a track penned by her but popularised by Christina Aguilera.
Release notes for the upcoming album: “Linda Perry’s ‘Let It Die Here’ is a raw, spiritual reckoning, a journey through inherited pain, grief, and redemption. Across seventeen tracks that blend confessional poetry, cinematic rock, and vulnerable introspection, Perry confronts the ghosts of her past – mothers, lovers, and the darker corners of self. The record moves from the streetlight confessions of ‘Balboa Park’ to the searing surrender of ‘Let It Die Here’, culminating in ‘Albatross’, a release from the weight she has carried her whole life. It is an album about release, letting go of guilt, embracing imperfection, and finding beauty in survival.”
Linda partnered up with Kill Rock Stars, the indie label for the release of Let It Die Here. She shares: “I’m super excited to partner up with Kill Rock Stars for yet another release. Let It Die Here, my new album, needs a dedicated and creative team behind it. For me, releasing music is a very personal and intimate experience so I want to know that the company I’m going on this journey with is supporting art and longevity. I feel very confident saying that John Burk and everyone at Kill Rock Stars are intent on building a company led by architects, sculptors, and musicians.”
The musician also announced a new album with her band 4 Non Blondes, also expected in 2026. She shares: “I put my feelers out into the universe. Playing some songs with 4 Non Blondes just seemed like a fun thing to do, in a way it hadn’t before now. I’ve been behind the scenes for far too long. I want to step out to be the artist I am. I’m just open to all the possibilities that I’ve created around me. I manifest things all the time.” She added that the album will include a mix of new songs and revisited older material.
