UK garage queen Katy B returns with new pop hit Avalanche which sees her co-write with Silva Bumpa, who also takes on production duties. The single follows Katy’s 2024 single Push The Tempo, but marks her first credited solo single in a number of years.
Katy shares: “I wrote this wrote with @silvabumpa after a really fun set at @boomtownfairofficial last year and wanted to dedicate a song to the audience, capturing their energy.”
Avalanche sees Katy deliver her attitude-filled vocals against bouncing electro-pop production, with the star showcasing the swagger which made her a star on hits including Katy On a Mission and Lights On.
The singer accompanies the new single with a performance in ITV’s Love Island this week in which she will treat the lucky singles to a medley which includes her new track.
