Earlier this year we shared US star Justin Jesso’s impressive track Closer, and now he returns with a song that continues to showcase his knack for big pop hooks and powerful vocals on new single Ready to Blow.
Ready to Blow was written by Justin alongside Michael Fatkin and Peter Hanna, with production also handled by Fatkin. “You wanna take it slow but I / I got these stars up in my eyes / And babe the way you look tonight / I’m losing my mind…” Justin sings over high-energy pop production, helping make this one of the standout tracks in his already impressive discography. We have high hopes that both Ready to Blow and Closer could mark the beginning of a new album era from the Illinois-born star.
Justin has continued to go from strength to strength in recent years, with a string of hits including Stargazing, which has amassed nearly 570 million Spotify streams, alongside Bigger Than and Best of Us. Justin released his debut album, Finding the Opposite of Loneliness, in 2022. Eurovision fans may also remember him as the representative for Illinois in the only season of the American Song Contest, performing the track Lifeline.
