French star Julien Lieb releases his first track since his debut album Naufragé, a collaboration with Italian singer and rapper Mr Rain, Super-héros. The track is a powerful testament to the support we can provide one another, and serves as a French remake of Mr Rain’s 2023 Italian-language single Supereroi.
Julien shares: This song says something simple: a superhero isn’t someone who never falls. It’s someone who, one day, finds the strength to say “I’m not okay” and lets someone help them get back up. He continues: We spend our lives holding up a façade until the day it stops holding. That’s why the title is plural, because alone, you can sometimes feel fragile or overwhelmed, and with someone beside you, certain things feel a little less hard to get through.
Paying tribute to Mr Rain, who joins Julien on the track, the French musician notes: This song hit me straight in the gut from the very first listen, for everything true it expresses. Thank you, Mr Rain, for trusting me with it and letting me put a piece of myself into it.
Julien has never been afraid of international collaboration, previously working with another Italian star, Laura Pausini, on La Dernière Chanson (Due Vite).
