Seattle-born Vietnamese-American vocalist Johnny Huynh follows up his acclaimed debut EP, Saviour, with his full-length studio album, Heaven’s On Fire. Released a couple of months ago, the album continues to showcase its diverse array of pop tracks, with Johnny now unveiling Delusional and its accompanying music video as the latest release from the LP.
The single is accompanied by a cinematic video directed by Nathan Hong, bringing Johnny and Lucas Sim’s sultry lyrics to life while capturing the story of a toxic and addictive love affair. Johnny sings: “I should run, run, run away ’til I collapse / Late-night getaway, never look back / There’s a sickness in my brain taking control / Now, I’m back in your bed, I might be delusional.”
On the album, Johnny shared: “This album is made from some of the deepest and most important moments of my life, and being able to finally share them with you means everything to me.”
Fellow album tracks Oxygen, Bleed My Love and Lock Me Out have all proved to be streaming favourites for Johnny, so we have no doubt the musician will continue building on the success of Heaven’s On Fire before returning with his next studio album.
