Jack Savoretti Unveils New Album 'We Will Always Be the Way We Were'

Jack Savoretti follows his Italian-language LP Miss Italia with a brand new English language studio album, We Will Always Be the Way We Were. The LP arrives on 10th of April 2026 and showcases Jack’s satisfaction and comfort at the place he finds himself musically.

Jack shares: “Had I made this album 10 years ago, people may have seen it as a u-turn, like going backwards. But now it feels full circle- it’s a closure, a summary of everything I’ve done so far. I went back to record it in Notting Hill, where my career started. The last two albums I made were concept albums (Europiana, Miss Italia), indulging in different sounds, they gave me that space to come back to doing an album about and of myself.”

Whilst we loved Jack’s albums Europiana and Miss Italia, he does lush cinematic pop particularly well and that’s exactly what you will hear on his recent singles Do It For Love, Only Gonna Cry for You and the freshly dropped We Will Always Be the Way We Were. The new single is penned by Jack, Mark Taylor, Patrick Mascall and Paul Barry with production from Tommaso Colliva.

Album release notes share: “The title track ‘We Will Always Be the Way We Were’ is a song that describes the relationship with his wife of 15 years; a love letter to how everything in your life can change, but how those closest to you and your shared experiences are what see you through. It’s the perfect life anthem, so it became the perfect fit for the album title.”

‍Jack adds: “The reason for wanting to go back to my roots, to a more confessional form of songwriting, came from the experience of making my last record. I had to write and sing in Italian, which was very much out of my comfort zone. But I had the guiding hand of producer Tomasso Coliva. I thought, if he can bring that out of me, then he can also help find a way of mixing those two sounds together; someone who could help my past and my present collide.”
