British singer-songwriter Jack Hawitt continues the journey towards his new album How Much Further to Paradise with his latest single You Better Go. The track follows Jack’s May release All For You and, like the previous single, showcases his absorbing vocals and sensitive yet impactful lyricism.
The musician shares that he drew inspiration from a nineties legal classic that captured the sentiment behind the song. He notes: “I was watching a movie on Netflix, A Time to Kill, with Sandra Bullock and Matthew McConaughey, and I heard the line ‘I want you to stay, so you better go’ and it inspired this whole song.”
Jack turns what might have been a throwaway line of dialogue for some into a powerful musical statement, which leaves us undeniably excited about his upcoming album. The track is written and produced by Jack, with mastering handled by CODA Mastering.
