Italian Music Legend Mina Returns with ‘A costo di morire’ Ahead of New Album

Mina is an artist who continues to surprise us with the 85-year old Italian pop legend delivering new single A costo di morire (At the Cost of Dying), a cover of a 1979 Fausto Leali song. The number was played in tribute to another legend with the track premiering at the new Giorgio Armani fashion show in Milan, the first designed by Silvana Armani since the designer’s passing last September.

The track was well chosen, celebrating the deep bond between Armani and Mina, with the number exploring the love, respect and affection that the pair shared. The song, was originally written by Franca Evangelisti and this version is composed by Fabio Massimo Cantini. The original was released by Leali as a B-side to single Musica ti amo.

We are delighted to hear Mina’s gorgeous vocals again in her first release since 2024 album Gassa d’amante which was released on her PDU label. This hit #3 in the Italian album charts. A costo di morire is expected to feature on Mina’s upcoming album, details of which should be with us soon.
