Hooverphonic Drop Cinematic New Track ‘Second Life’ With Jasper Erkens

Hooverphonic

Hooverphonic return with new single Second Life, a collaboration with vocalist Jasper Erkens. Written by Jasper and Hooverphonic’s Alex Callier, Second Life marks the first new original music from the band since their 2024 album Fake is the New Dope, featuring Geike Arnaert.

Second Life brings Hooverphonic’s expected cinematic electronic grooves, combining enigmatic strings with the warm vocals of Flemish singer-songwriter Jasper Erkens. The result is an impressive new single, and the start of a new album era for the band.

Alex shared: “Our first writing session immediately resulted in Second Life , a song about a secret relationship. After we had mixed the track, I knew that this song had to be the first single from the new album.”

Former member Noémie Wolfs has returned for their upcoming 2026/2027 live dates, but now the band will take the same approach as on their 2016 album In Wonderland bringing in a mixed collection of vocalists.
