Greyson Chance Announces Fifth Album 'BOYSTOWN' with New Single 'Dirty Laundry'

Greyson Chance reveals details of his fifth album BOYSTOWN with new single Dirty Laundry. Greyson has been teasing the release of the album, which will arrive on his own label, with previous tracks Sugar Rush, Jock Porn and Red Flags.

Describing the album, which is scheduled for release on September 25th, Greyson shares: “There’s so much color on this album, but there’s darkness too. BOYSTOWN originates from a breakup, and these songs are my most authentic attempt of showing how I walk through relationships, how I walk through queer culture, how I stumble through men. I wish I could change certain parts of my attitude, but I’ve realised I’m just maybe not that type of person. I’m a stubborn son of a bitch… I’m the same motherfucker that I used to be… Thank you for listening to SUGAR RUSH and being here for this journey. This album cycle is a marathon and for you I will run at my highest speed. That’s a promise.”

The new track Dirty Laundry is written and produced by Greyson and John Fellner, with a house-driven piano score pulsing throughout the emotionally raw track.

Greyson shared: “My fifth studio album. Made, funded, and released entirely under my own imprint. I built this record on instinct and an unwavering belief that I still had something left to give as an artist. These songs are inspired by the queer experience as I’ve lived it, and I dedicate them to every queer person who has loved, fought, and suffered before me. Without them, I do not exist. Neither does BOYSTOWN.”

Greyson will also release a vinyl edition of BOYSTOWN via Graffiti Records.
