French Music Icon Vanessa Paradis Unveils New Album 'Le Retour des Beaux Jours', New Single

Expectations are high for Le Retour des beaux jours (The Return of Sunny Days), Vanessa Paradis’s eagerly-awaited new solo album. The French music icon previously released grooving single Bouquet final this Spring, but now releases the album’s title track ahead of the LP release on October 10th.

The new single is released through Barclay and sees Vanessa collaborate with writers Doriand, Jean Louis Pierot and Étienne Daho. The songstress produces the track alongside Jean Louis Pierot and Étienne Daho – the team that produced Jane Birkin’s final album Oh! Pardon tu dormais… The album also features collaborations with Vanessa’s children, Lily-Rose and Jack Depp.

The single Le Retour des beaux jours has elements of late 90s trip-hop in its slow-burning jazzy arrangements, whilst Paradis’s vocals dance atop the melancholic grooves – allowing a hopeful shimmer to trickle through.

Vanessa will be hitting the road to perform tracks from the album. This marks her first album since Les Sources, released in 2018, which reached #6 on the French album charts
