UK pop talent Florrie continues the rollout of her upcoming album Magic For a While with absorbing new single Warrior, a track exploring self-acceptance, identity and the pressure of trying to meet other people’s expectations.
Built around a lyric idea Florrie has carried for over a decade, Warrior reflects on the freedom that comes from stepping away from external validation. Speaking about the track, Florrie shares: “I’ve always felt like the odd one out, and Warrior comes from that feeling of constantly wondering whether everyone else knows something you don’t.”
The accompanying video, directed by British filmmaker Joe Connor, explores Florrie’s journey through a period of feeling like she wasn’t enough, inspired by therapy sessions and the process of accepting the different sides of herself.
Produced alongside long-time collaborator Brian Higgins, Warrior offers another glimpse into Magic For a While, a record exploring nostalgia, identity and the beauty found within the chaos of modern life. The full album arrives on October 16th.
The release follows previous singles The Times and Malibu (Falling Over the Edge), showcasing the different sides of Florrie’s upcoming second album, from emotional storytelling to expansive pop production.
