RISING TALENT

Flora Fiora Drops ‘Kick The Tyres’ From Debut EP

Flora Fiora

She’s been building her career independently from the tiny Gloucestershire village of Chedworth, and now 19-year-old singer-songwriter Flora Fiora is ready to take things up a gear with Kick The Tyres. The track is the focus single from her debut EP In No Particular Order, and showcases exactly why Flora is beginning to turn heads, blending indie-pop energy with singer-songwriter storytelling and catchy pop hooks.

Flora notes: It’s one of those things where you don’t really know what’s going on until it’s over. Songwriting for me is where the answers flood to. With this project, once all the songs were together, that’s where I realised the importance of reflection and understanding. Whatever order it comes in. Sometimes it takes time to see the clarity in a life that feels like it’s in anti-gravity. You just have to look for it.

Kick The Tyres captures the frustration of chasing your ambitions while wondering whether you’re actually getting anywhere. Propulsive production, soaring vocals and choral harmonies give the track plenty of momentum, while its official video brings the song’s chaotic energy to life. You can watch that above.

Flora says: Had such a good time working with Joseph Lewiston and his team on set for this video. It’s always such a friendly atmosphere. It makes manually pushing a car onto set a lot of fun. Screaming in the car with your friends, running around like a lunatic, Kick The Tyres!!!!!

Alongside Kick The Tyres, the In No Particular Order EP features recent singles Mad In The Head and Getting Out, alongside the dreamy new track Dreamer. All four songs were written by Flora, with one co-written alongside Crispin Burton, while the EP was produced by Mike Batt and Luke Batt.

Keep an eye on Flora Fiora.
