Eva Marija Interview: Representing Luxembourg at Eurovision and the Power of ‘Mother Nature’

One of the earliest artists to secure their spot at Eurovision 2026 was Luxembourg’s Eva Marija, who stormed to victory at the Luxembourg Song Contest with Mother Nature. Eva sat down with Culture Fix’s Greg to chat about preparing for Eurovision, the process of constructing the track, and the excitement of representing the small but mighty Luxembourg.

Eva worked on Mother Nature at a songwriting camp with Julie Aagaard, Maria Broberg and Thomas Stengaard, and discussed this experience, as well as the hopeful message of the track, which is set to resonate with audiences across Europe. The musician delved into some of her musical inspirations, many of which come through in her soulful voice and optimistic songs. Eva also explored some of her hidden musical talents, alongside studying her craft in London.

Eva explained the honour and excitement of representing Luxembourg, sharing her love of the contest from an early age and her delight at the European nation’s return to the competition in 2024, something we are incredibly happy about.

Whilst the focus is very much on Eurovision, Eva also shared that we can expect plenty of new music after the contest, with the star optimistic about hitting the road and touring this material. We can’t wait!

Thanks to Eva for taking the time to chat, and to the team at RTL for organising the interview. You can connect with Eva on Instagram.
