Music legend Engelbert Humperdinck continues to show no signs of slowing down in his 90th year, with the veteran crooner taking on a number of pop classics on his latest album Faithfully. The LP sees the Release Me hitmaker reinterpret hits from Journey, Ozzy Osbourne, KISS, Aerosmith, and more.
Engelbert shares: “I am so grateful for my good friends Brian Perera and Tim Yasui of Cleopatra Records for coming up with the fantastic idea for this album and the music videos we created for it. I am also truly honoured by all of the incredible, renowned musicians who joined me on these tracks. And, by no means least, I want to thank my producers Adam Hamilton and Pete Mills, plus our mixing engineer Jurgen Engler, for the tireless hours that went into this production.”
The first taste of the album sees the star take on The Cars anthem Drive, with Engelbert delivering his powerhouse vocals atop polished production from Pete Mills.
The track comes accompanied by a music video which sees the former UK Eurovision entrant don leather biking gear and take a drive across US highways. We presume that the shots of the motorbike riding through the desert don’t feature Engelbert behind the handlebars.
