Sweet N’ Psycho and Circus X have become surprise musical obsessions for us since electro-pop-rock duo SCARLET debuted them at Melodifestivalen 2025 and 2024 respectively. Now, the duo, whose identities have never officially been revealed, return with their new album, Don’t Be Scared.
With SCARLET themselves heavily involved in the writing and production of the album, members Thirsty and Scarlet Hunts collaborate with names including Jimmy Jansson, Dino Medanhodzic, Palle Hammarlund, Martin Eriksson Sandmark, Julie Aagaard and more. The record moves between heavier, pop-metal-driven sounds and slick Scandinavian dance-pop, all tied together by a dark thematic edge.
Previous singles beyond their Melodifestivalen entries, including Wicked Little Tango and Heartbreak Squad, also feature on the nine-track collection. The band share: “Nine songs. Nine chapters. A collection of memories, chaos, rage, power and rebirth. This album marks the end of one era… and the beginning of the next.”
