Fans of classic Scandinavian disco hitmakers Alcazar may be familiar with Le Crash, a trio that have become one of the top touring disco acts. The band is fronted by Daniel Mitsogiannis – Melodifestivalen star and husband of Alacazar’s Andreas Lundstedt – joined by Miss Angelina and Linnea Kallstrom. After becoming staples of the live party scene, the group record their first official single Fade to Grey.
The track gets a contemporary spin – turning the classic 1980 British synthpop anthem from Steve Strange and Visage – into a high energy disco cut. The number is produced by CARLZZOON, Ariel 46 and Göran Sparrdal, and marks a stunning start to Le Crash’s journey into the world of recorded pop music. The original track was written by Billy Currie, Chris Payne and Midge Ure.
Hopes are high that Le Crash will follow-up Fade to Grey with more music – whether original or covers, Le Crash are a fresh force in the world of pop music and dare we say, potential Eurovision or Melodifestivalen superstars?
