Rogue Traders’ anthem To the Disco gets a revamp with a very exciting new collaborator in Dirty Dirty Disco featuring HRH Dannii Minogue. We have been praying for Dannii’s return to the pop world ever since her bangers We Could Be the One and Thinking ’Bout Us, and what better way than with fellow Aussie legends Rogue Traders.
The track initially arrived in 2007 as On Your Way to the Disco, before being revamped as To the Disco in 2023. The new version combines the vocal charm of Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Dannii, serving a truly delicious disco diva anthem. And Dirty Dirty Disco feels like the perfect title, with the track’s dark synths, underground edge, and dirty electronic production sounding flawless.
Dannii shared with The Daily Telegraph Australia: “Rogue Traders is a vibe and energy that I adore and when Nat sent me the track to see if I wanted to collab on it – I was hooked! Gimme some great bass lines and disco vibes and I am in. Nat and I have always connected through the joy of music and had a blast during our X Factor days together. The master plan for this release is fun – everything we do and how we are doing it comes from this intention.”
Natalie added: “I admire Dannii so much, I think there is a real mutual admiration for each other and the work that we’ve done to this point. The two of us have stood the test of time, but so has the band. It just feels like magic ready to explode. The day was so much fun, we were just cheeky and playful and we were dirty.”
Rogue Traders recently released their album Midnight Alarms, a banger-filled party that we spoke to the band’s James Ash about. We’re hoping the Rogues could tempt Dannii into the studio to record a whole new album – this would mark her first since the iconic Aussie’s 2007 album Club Disco.
