Dame Elaine Paige Readies New Album 'Miscellaneous Paige' with 'August Winds'

Dame Elaine Paige releases new single August Winds, a track to be taken from her upcoming studio album Miscellaneous Paige. The album arrives via Westway Music on 17th July 2026 and is set to feature Dame Elaine’s spin on numerous pop and musical theatre classics.

August Winds is written by Sting and featured in the musical The Last Ship. The track arrives after the West End legend’s previous single Only a Lifetime, a cover of the track from FINNEAS. More traditional covers on the EP include The Beatles, The Bee Gees and Harry Nilsson.

Elaine said “It’s a collection of songs gathered over the years – a nostalgic reflection with the passage of time as its central thread. Some are old companions by writers from my youth including Jim Webb, Harry Nilsson, the Beatles, Bacharach & David and The Bee Gees, they taught me everything – joy, heartbreak and the importance of rewinding a cassette with a pencil. Others are newer discoveries which simply resonate with me. Their story telling and meaningful lyrics evoke the same emotions for me, all these years later, I hope the same can be said for you.”

The star describes the set as a musical memoir, noting: “Music has always been a guiding force in my life and I’ve made this album to celebrate just that. It’s a collection of songs gathered over the years – a nostalgic reflection with time as its central thread. Some are old companions from my youth; others are newer discoveries that simply resonate with me. Together they form a personal journey through memory, connection and reflection.”
