Culture Fix Presents Eurovision Heroes: Ireland [Podcast]

Last week’s episode celebrating France’s Eurovision Heroes may have been our closest result yet. Electronic producer and vocalist Alvan and his collaborators Ahez clinched victory at 54% with their entry Fulenn – giving an overdue victory to the 2022 French entry. This means that 2025 entrant Louanne felt short with 46% of the vote with her powerful entry Maman.

Now we turn our attention to the Emerald Isle as we celebrate some Eurosong classics, honourable mentions, and Irish heroes. From Linda Martin, Niamh Kavanagh and Eimear Quinn’s camp classic take on Tattoo to Connolly’s Midnight Summer Night by the way of Nicky Byrne, Jedward, Brooke and Lesley Roy – our Irish episode is bound to deliver some surprises.

However, the main battle is between Jedward’s Lipstick and Ryan O’Shaughnessy’s Together, two Irish Eurovision classics.
