Charlotte Gainsbourg hasn’t released new music since her 2017 studio LP Rest and its companion EP Take 2 the following year. The French chanteuse, daughter of the legendary late Jane Birkin and king of Francophone cool Serge Gainsbourg, now delivers a brand new track in the form of Blurry Moon.
Created with regular collaborator SebastiAn and paired with a Lynchian visual directed by Anthony Vaccarello, the track evokes the mood of a dreamy road trip, with Gainsbourg lounging across a gleaming black convertible. Her ethereal, dreamlike vocals glide effortlessly over the producer’s woozy, atmospheric soundscape.
Blurry Moon leaves us hungry for more from Gainsbourg, whose catalogue already includes such gems as Deadly Valentine, Terrible Angels and Heaven Can Wait.
