Chaka Khan Announces New Album 'Chakzilla' with 'Boogie’s In My Soul'

Chaka Khan delivers her first album since My Happiness in 2019, the wonderfully titled new LP, Chakzilla. The project brings together the fresh single Boogie’s In My Soul and the album’s title track, in a release produced by Greg Kurstin and co-written by Sia.

Chaka shares: “My new album, CHAKZILLA, is now officially available to pre-order and pre-save. I’m so excited to share the cover art with you for the first time! This album brings together some very special music and collaborations with Sia, Snoop Dogg and Lenny Kravitz. I cannot wait for you to hear the full project.”

The musician adds: “This album is about joy. It’s about freedom. It’s about loving yourself, loving each other, and finding your power no matter where you are in life.” She continues: “I’ve lived a lot of life since my last record, and I wanted these songs to celebrate that. This music is about being human, feelin’ good, and stepping into our power.”

Boogie’s In My Soul, featuring Snoop Dogg, is released as part of the world’s Juneteenth celebrations. The full album arrives on 18 September.
