Austrian musician Cesár Sampson has had a busy 2026 so far, including working as part of the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna this May. Thankfully, Cesár is continuing to find time for his own music, dropping his new single Rooftop this week.
Cesár shared: “On this one we really just followed our instincts as fun-loving musicians rather than calculating algorithms, can you tell?”
Rooftop is written by Cesár alongside Lukas Hillebrand, David Steven Jackson and Tamara Flores, with production from Lukas Hillebrand. The track is a rousing, high-energy, country-tinged pop number that showcases Cesár’s strong vocals alongside an addictive chorus.
Cesár is one of Austria’s prominent pop stars, while his international profile grew significantly following his Eurovision entry Nobody But You in 2018. He returned to the contest in 2026, performing an interval tribute to Billy Joel, and continues to work behind the scenes as part of the Austrian delegation.
