Céline Dion delivers her first single in seven years with the poignant, cinematic number Dansons (‘We Dance’), a French-language release that sees her reunited with longtime collaborator Jean-Jacques Goldman. The track precedes Céline’s upcoming Paris residency.
The song showcases the French-Canadian vocalist’s gentle yet emotive tones, marking her first new original non-holiday or soundtrack release since her 2019 album Courage. It is expected that Dansons may be the first taste of an upcoming new French-language studio album.
Dansons is accompanied by an elegant, romantic video from director Max Allouche. A statement shares: “About the director: Max Allouche is a young writer and director of mini-series on Instagram that celebrate love and new encounters. Highly active on social media, he invited various artists (a singer, a comedian, a violinist and a dancer) to take part in this music video. Featured artists include the renowned classical dancer Victoria Dauberville and her partner Mathieu Forget, violinist Esther Abrami, comedian Lola Dubini and the young artist Oria, amongst others.”
Dansons is produced by Luc Leroy and Jean-Jacques Goldman.
