Boybands Are Back: These Are the Acts Taking Over 2026

With the release of German social media superstars The Elevator Boys’ Love Me Better, December 10’s debut EP, and dearALICE’s collaboration with Japense girlgroup sensation Sweet Revenge, it well and truly feel slike we are back in the golden age of the boyband. We highlight the best of the world of boyband pop below, shouting out the up and coming Western bands that should be on your radar.

Santos Bravos

Formed through Hybe Latin America, Santos Bravos are a Mexican five-piece boy band created via the YouTube series of the same name. Blending high-octane performance videos with slick Latin-pop anthems from their debut EP, Dual, Santos Bravos are one of the most exciting new boy bands around. With the powerhouse music machine of Hybe behind them, the group have the potential for a truly stratospheric rise, something already reflected in their rapidly growing and fiercely loyal fanbase.

The group’s debut EP, Dual, showcased six tracks of polished pop excellence, with several songs surpassing 20 million streams on Spotify alone. Kawasaki was a powerhouse Latin-electro banger, while tracks such as Velocidade became major fan favourites despite not being pushed as official singles, highlighting the overall strength and quality of the Santos Bravos sound.

Elevator Boys

Germany’s Elevator Boys started their career as social media sensations but have since gone on to showcase a multitude of talents. With the world of film set to be conquered through their debut movie, Back to the 90s, the group have confidently begun to establish themselves in the world of pop with singles including Runaway, I Like It, and their latest hit, Love Me Better.

The group have also released their debut EP, Scared to Love, featuring a collection of upbeat tracks, with hopes high that a full-length debut album may soon follow. The boys have demonstrated a growing passion for and commitment to their musical craft, working with renowned producers, delivering impressive vocals, and continuing to excel with their live performances.

Potentially the biggest (in quantity) boyband since Blazin’ Squad, December 10 are slowly making their name in the pop world after debuting in Netflix series Simon Cowell: The Next Act. Despite a high profile debut, the band are taking a more organic route to building up a fanbase with small gigs around the UK and Europe and are certainly grafting on the road. Whilst not initially lighting the UK charts on fire, the band are continuing to grow in performance skills and musical confidence, and are undoubtedly on the trajectory towards big things.

The group have released singles including classic boyband up-tempo gem Run My Way, impressive vocal showcase Angel, and club-ready number Infinity (123), with the latter suiting them the most. Their debut EP On Your Side fill serve as their first body of work.

Midnight Til Morning

Formed through Netflix’s Building the Band, Midnight Til Morning have gone from strength to strength with the release of their debut EP and a series of international tour dates. Fresh from the show, the band released singles including the soulful pop-rock anthem Bye and the absorbing mid-tempo track Ghost of Us, before unveiling their debut EP, Afterglow.

With powerhouse vocals and high-energy pop compositions, Midnight Til Morning are a band on the rise. UK and European fans will have the chance to catch them live this October as part of their upcoming tour.

DearALICE

Formed through South Korean agencies SM Entertainment and Kakao Entertainment, in partnership with the BBC show Made in Korea, DearALICE have been working to establish themselves as a standalone pop act outside the series. Getting their music career off to a strong start with debut single Ariana, DearALICE have shown they excel in high-energy pop numbers, accompanied by powerhouse performances.

Their debut EP, bitterSWEETsummer (following the soundtrack EP Made in Korea: The K-Pop Experience OST), features tracks including the K-pop-influenced banger Sweet, cinematic ballad Save Us, and edgy R&B-electro track Drums. They have since followed this with the new anthem Body On featuring J-pop girl group Sweet Revenge and rising talent Enola Bedard.

Absnt Mind

Absnt Mind are another group continuing the UK’s great tradition of boyband pop. Forming in 2022, the band have a real voice in the writing process of their music and draw on their rich individual musical influences to create their distinctive pop sound. Building their reputation through school performances and high profile support slots for artists including Olly Murs, Absnt Mind are finding an audience for their original music.

Nostalgic 2026 single Allestree Lane is their sole release of the year so far, although the band found streaming success with soulful 00s inspired Stitch, up-tempo groove Simpatico, and the bouncing boyband pop of Daylight.

Full Circle Boys

No Guidnce

Made up of Israeli and Palestinian members, as1one sought to showcase music as a force for unity, this Middle Eastern group’s journey was showcased in Paramount series As1one: The Israeli-Palestinian Pop Music Journey. The group gained momentum fast with singles such as All Eyes On Us featuring Nile Rodgers, emotive ballad Stranger, and powerhouse pop anthem Stop the World. With a number of school performances across the UK, the band seek to showcase unity through music.

DND

Latin pop five-piece Do Not Disturb (also known as DND) were formed by Pharrell Williams and Lionfish. Based in Miami, the group blend Latin pop with tropical influences, combining soulful vocals, danceable production, and irresistible hooks.

Releasing their debut EP in 2024, DND found streaming success with the summer hit Pina Coladas and the reggaeton-inspired La Primera Vez. They have continued to experiment with genre on the sparse pop track Tinder, the Latin pop groover Te Acuerdas?, and the electronic anthem 12 Y PICO.

Just the Brave
