Benjamin Ingrosso begins a new musical era after releasing his stellar LP Pink Velvet Theatre in 2024. The Swedish talent returns with two new tracks, Funny Feeling and Waste My Time, numbers which explore romance, sexual euphoria and complete emotional self-deception.

Funny Feeling taps into soulful, disco-flavoured pop bolstered by an infectious piano-driven backing. It’s breezy, bright and taps into lustful romance. Benjamin was inspired by the nineties for the track, with the star sharing: I always fall in love in the kind of way you normally only see in films. It feels as though I’m living in one of the 1990s romantic comedies I’ve been obsessed with since I was a child. I’m prepared to do anything, and I lose sight of everything else in my life. I always think I’ve found the right person, but then things take a completely different turn.

B-side, Waste My Time, draws on more alt-pop ’00s sounds with an intimate confessional vibe in Benjamin’s vocals. Benjamin shares: Being chosen and rejected over and over again does strange things to you. Even though you know how terrible you’ll feel afterwards, it only pulls you in more deeply. It becomes an addiction. The feeling that each time might be the last is more powerful than anything I’ve experienced before.

Waste My Time is written by Jon Shave, Benjamin Ingrosso, Timothy Collins, Shazaam, Montgomery, and Bill Maybury. The track is produced by Jonathan Rado, Kane Ritchotte, Jon Shave, and Benjamin Ingrosso. Funny Feeling is written by Benjamin Ingrosso, Shazaam, Montgomery, David Stewart, Pablo Bowman, and Timothy Collins. The track is produced by Jonathan Rado, Kane Ritchotte, and Benjamin Ingrosso.
