Barry Manilow Reveals New Studio Album ‘What a Time’, Releases Gary Barlow Co-write ‘Sun Shine’

Music legend Barry Manilow has announced his new album, What a Time, marking his thirty-third studio release. The set is preceded by the lead single, Once Before I Go, and the freshly released Sun Shine. The latter of these was penned by Barry alongside Take That star Gary Barlow, and it delivers breezy feel-good vibes paired with Manilow’s intoxicating melodies. The number is produced by Manilow, David Benson, and Greg Bartheld.

The album opens with Once Before I Go, a romantic love song executive produced by Clive Davis and co-written by Dean Pitchford and the late Peter Allen. The track soars thanks to elegant string arrangements and Manilow’s powerful vocal command.

Release notes share: “Barry Manilow returns with What A Time, his first album of almost all original material in nearly 15 years! The result is a collection that pairs Manilow’s signature melodic grandeur with fresh textures and stylistic turns.” Count us in!

The full album arrives on June 5th and is available to order now. The Amazon edition features bonus track Party to the Top, you can order here. See the full tracklist below.
