Azerbaijan's Azer Nasibov Releases His Unselected Eurovision Entry 'Sənin Ürəyin' ('Your Heart')

Azer Nasibov is a star in the Azerbaijani music industry who has made no secret of his dreams to represent his home country at Eurovision. Sadly, Azer has not yet been selected by Azerbaijan’s state broadcaster through their internal selection, but the The Voice star still decided to release his prospective entry Sənin Ürəyin (Your Heart).

The track is written by Azer, with production from macssvel (Maxim Grigorievich Soloviev). The song sees Azer mix Azerbaijani and English lyrics, whilst capturing a flavour of the cultural traditions of his country in an atmospheric, folklore-infused music video. Azer’s Sənin Ürəyin would have been the perfect choice this year, as its modern sound, tributes to tradition, powerful vocals, and slick pop production place it head and shoulders above Azerbaijan’s chosen entry for the Eurovision Song Contest this year.

Azer has previously dipped his hat into Azerbaijan’s internal selection process before, applying for the 2023 contest and unfortunately not being selected in favour of TuralTuranX, who did not qualify. Hopefully, we will see Azer announced as a Eurovision candidate for a future contest.
